April 18th City Council Meeting

After a lengthy application process, which first began in 2013, the appeal for the Valero Crude by Rail project will now go before the Benicia City Council for a decision. Your continued interest and support has been critical to this process and is very much appreciated.

It is the longtime involvement and support of Benicia residents like you that has truly made Valero a part of this community. The proposed Crude by Rail project is an investment in the refinery’s ability to remain competitive, which will benefit the City of Benicia and residents alike.

That’s why your attendance – and your voice - at the upcoming City Council meetings will be crucial for project approval. Join us to ensure that your opinions are heard before Council.

A copy of the FEIR is available here: Final Environmental Impact Report

All meetings will begin at 7:00pm, but we ask that supporters arrive by 5:00pm to ensure ample time for check-in. Supporters will be directed to City Hall for seating and to fill out speaker cards in support of the Valero Crude by Rail project.  Even if you do not wish to speak, it is important that everyone in attendance fills out a form to register his or her support.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.  And again, thank you for your continued support of Valero Crude by Rail.
